With a roster of Tony & Grammy Award Winning musical talent Borderlight Entertainment is an Artist Management & Touring company dedicated to strategically guiding and building the careers of recording and concerting artists.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Founder and CEO of Borderlight Entertainment you will be instrumental to the successful growth of the artist management business and for helping to maintain the culture of authenticity, respect, teamwork, excellence, and flawless execution.
You will be involved in every aspect of your clients' careers, counseling them on professional decisions and opportunities, overseeing their day-to-day schedules and activities, and representing their interests within larger productions.
Work with CEO to strategically develop the careers of existing clients & help build the company’s overall client roster
Handle incoming artist requests for management & solicit new clients
Guide & manage the work and career growth of artist handlers in a positive productive fashion with clear measurable tasks and goals
Create an authentic rapport with artists and maintain a productive communication flow
Develop and oversee marketing plans that deliver commensurate exposure and revenue
Support artist goals with corresponding action plans and timelines
Identify and develop relationships with individuals and organizations related to our industry that can add value to the careers of our artists and the growth of our organization.
Keep up with industry trends and artist careers via trade publications, performance/event attendance, and networking.
Negotiate and review artist agreements
Ensure artist needs are attended to quickly and efficiently
Organize interviews, appearances, etc.
EXPERIENCE NEEDED
5 – 7 years successfully managing artists
Demonstrated ability to develop & implement artist specific strategic marketing and promotion strategies
Proven negotiation skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A reputation for diplomacy when dealing with artists, their families, other representation and venue representative Ability to work when needed by artists including nights and weekends
Ability to travel frequently via any and all forms of transportation
A passion for the music business
A College Degree (Desired)
1-2 Years Management (Desired)
